Magnet wire insulations
Insulation can take the shape of a thin coat of varnish or enamel, polyester or fiberglass yarn, or a combination of the two. The turns would be unable to avoid touching each other if the wire were naked, resulting in a short, but insulated wire that can be coiled to keep the wires in contact. For a wire with hundreds or thousands of twists, insulation is critical.
